Overview
The Fiber Media Converter is designed to convert a 10/100Base-Tx signal to 100Base-Fx signal. They are used to extend the connection distance between two Ethernet Twisted-pair devices via fiber cable transparently with no performance degradation. The converter series provide different types of fiber connectors such as ST, SC, FC and MT-RJ for MM (multimode) or SM (single mode) fiber cables. Both multi-mode and single mode converter models are available as well as WDM (wave division multiplexing which allows TX and RX to use a single fiber cable)
